One of Korea's leading art establishments, Leeum Samsung Museum of Art boasts an expansive collection of both contemporary and traditional artworks. Opened in 2004, the museum features two key areas spread across three modern buildings. Immerse yourself in traditional Korean masterpieces in Museum 1, where four floors house paintings, ceramics, Buddhist art, and numerous other items marking the progression of the country's cultural legacy. Museum 2 exhibits international artists like Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol. Lockers are available on site, as well as a European-style cafe. The outdoor sculpture park offers a quiet place to relax. Very nice to see lots of Korean contemporary artworks. And the building itself is very nice. Entering 1.5 hrs before the museum close is definitely not enough time to walk through everything. At least 2 hours to visit this place is suggested!
Three different architects for three different spatial showcases.. history_modern_futureEducation Very well done. Also the audio guides are amazing, you don't need to put any code, they understand where you are and start automatically to explain the artwork near you. Awesome!
