The onsite teahouse offers refreshments and a chance to soak up a few more traditional experiences, with martial art performances offered on a daily basis. I made a really cute bag for 36,000 won. The lady doesn’t speak a lot of English but she has a translator app which helped me understand what she was saying. The paint is made naturally (eg. from flowers, the earth) and you have stencils to choose from to fill. For most if not all palaces, you can not enter the houses but if you want to make your own souvenir (cloth, mid/big canvas tote bag) you can. Entering it was so cool. The floor was warm so you wouldn’t freeze while painting.

Interesting concept, they took 5 houses from around Seoul and moved to a single place. The only downside is that all houses were from the same epoch (late 19th century), so you could not compare them with other kinds of traditional constructions. Otherwise, pretty interesting place to go.
