Walk the 500-year-old halls of the impressive Barcelona Cathedral. Constructed in the 13th century, the Gothic cathedral features a main hall vaulted over five aisles, with dozens of high columns. Saunter the grand hall to admire the high ceilings and ornate altar decor, or wander out to the main cloister where 13 white geese are kept as part of the cathedral’s tradition. Try to spot the famous gargoyles that line the cathedral’s roof and main facade. See Barcelona Cathedral and all Barcelona has to offer by arranging your trip with our Barcelona travel route planner.

  • Absolutely beautiful cathedral. I loved the whole Gothic quarter. So many places to eat and drink. We enjoyed this whole area when we were on vacation in Barcelona from the USA. Amazing people and architecture. This cathedral was very packed with tourist hardly room to walk so might want to check popular times on their website .
  • Beautiful cathedral, worth a visit if you’re in town and if you’re into architecture/are religious. I am neither but went there because I was with my family. FYI there is wheelchair access, just not through the main entrance. Ask someone at the main entrance for directions and they will help you. People with reduced mobility get in free too.
