Bror Hjorths Hus is a museum located in Uppsala, Sweden. The museum is housed in the former studio of sculptor and painter Bror Hjorth (1894–1968).

Hjorth's villa was designed by architect Sten Hummel-Gumaelius (1906-1986). The building was built in 1943 and was for 25 years both the home and studio of Bror Hjorth.
The museum has a large collection of Hjorth's work. The former residence and studio are filled with paintings, sculptures, reliefs and drawings as well as preliminary works and sketches for the artist's many public assignments. The museum opened in 1978. In the mid-1990s, the museum was expanded with an exhibition hall designed by architect Bengt Löfberg.

  • We probably first heard of Bror Hjorth when we saw the big statue outside the train station in Uppsala. Later we were fortunate to meet his son Ole by way of Swedish folk music, and we had visited...

  • I've been there plenty of times now, and I always loved it. The last time was yesterday, with my baby son for the children's tour. The people working there are super friendly. While we waited for the tour to start, I had fika while the super nice women working at the front desk "talked" to my son. The tour was nice, thank you, Maria!
  • To move around in the artist's house, atelier and see so many of the works up close is a treat. Great staff adds to the experience and for an art museum it's very family friendly.
