Ocean Drive, Miami Beach

Neighborhood · Shopping
A major road and a popular tourist attraction, Ocean Drive features the often-photographed mansion of fashion designer Gianni Versace. After years of neglect, the drive came back on the scene in the 1980s, when several world-class restaurants and hotels helped dispel the neighborhood's long-standing reputation for petty street crime. Today, this street cuts through an area renowned for its pastel sunrises, trendy nightclubs, and about 800 preserved Art Deco buildings. To enjoy a sunrise breakfast in bed, be sure to ask for a high floor facing east when you make your hotel reservations. • Went over spring break so my review could be skewed because of that but Ocean Drive was crowded with shady people and hood rats. Not fun!  more »
  • Restaurants on ocean drive are nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Most restaurants include 20% gratuity in your check. Cost is around $16-$50 a person. Drinks are $20 and up. Beach is right there.....  more »
