Nicknamed "the balcony of Europe," Bruehlsche Terrasse offers superb views of the River Elbe. Take a walk down the terrace to admire the historic buildings and picturesque surroundings. Pause near the Johann Friedrich Böttger monument to look for a fingerprint in the guardrail of the terrace garden. It is said to have been left by August the Strong and to be proof of his strength. Pop into a cafe, sip a coffee, and watch the mix of tourists and locals walk by. • The area around this view is charming, and the view itself is lovely. We were there on a sunny day, and a cloudy day as well--both times the view was fantastic

  • We were brought here after dark one weekday evening recently - by the city dungeon keeper! We were on a walking tour to discover the macabre side of this fascinating city. Anyway he brought us up onto the terrace and we had a chance to both gain a wonderful night time view of the river and to listen to the various medieval methods of effecting punishment of the villainous inhabitants of this fair city all those years ago. That evening it was quite busy and it is easy to understand why. The views are fantastic.
  • As a woman who recently visited the Brühl's Terrace, I was utterly enchanted by the stunning views and elegant atmosphere it had to offer. Often referred to as the "Balcony of Europe," this beautifully designed terrace provides breathtaking panoramas of the Elbe River and the historic cityscape of Dresden. The meticulously landscaped gardens, ornate sculptures, and majestic architecture create a truly romantic setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet contemplation. It is no wonder that the Brühl's Terrace has become such an iconic symbol of the city's charm and resilience. I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful spot to anyone visiting Dresden, as it will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all who experience its beauty.
