Aquaworld Aquarium & Reptile Rescue Centre, Hersonissos

Amazing place to visit, not just seaside which can be found around the coastal waters of Crete. The also have reptiles that have been handed over to them or left for them to care for. They are very educational as well with school trips and visits to schools in the local area. To also survive were others have not during the pandemic. Every time we come to Crete we always visit to see new and existing marine life and reptiles. A big thank you to John and his wife and the team for a marvellous job they do in running the place.

Very enjoyable. Getting up close and personal with the reptiles was a highlight. Great value for money. They clearly care for the animals. Would recommend being there for 10.30 to see the turtle (Stephania) and the octopus being fed and the stories behind them. If you have 1-2 hours spare it's definitely worth it. The work they're doing is so admirable that we just had to leave a donation.
