Zoraida's Horse Riding, Kournas

Emailed Kristy explaining my riding experience and asking if she happened to have anything available in the next 36 hours - and she did!! An amazing walk / trek / canter through the mountains and a beautiful village. A couple of waves from the neighbours, an unplanned sunset and we recruited a local dog on the way. Kristy and her team prefer small groups - there were 4 of us in total meaning i didn’t feel so bad needing to shorten my stirrups after our first trot, and the team we had were fabulous! (Not to mention the horses!!! - Miss Artemis did all the hard work and in a fun and constantly trying to eat manner). I’ll be back for the beach ride on my next trip to Crete!!

As an equestrian, it was a really exciting experience for me and one of the highlights of my trip around Crete. I had a great experience for our 2 hours horse riding on the beach during sunset. Friendly, experienced staff that showed great care and guidance. All of the horses were so well trained and the guide will choose a horse for you based on your experience and comfort level. I ride horses all the time, so I was very comfortable and I our group did some trotting and cantering along the beach. Beautiful scenery. Reasonably priced. And you get the pictures taken and send to you a couple of days after your ride!!!
