Take a guided tour of Ayalon Institute Museum, a reconstruction of a hidden bullet factory that played a crucial role in Israel's struggle for independence. The secret factory was established in 1946 and was situated 8 m (25 ft) underground, its entrance disguised by a kibbutz laundry room. On a visit to the historic site, you can hear the story of the 45 men and women who risked everything by working tirelessly on the loud and dangerous ammunition-making machines. Planning Rehovot trip won't be overwhelming when you use Inspirock's itinerary maker.

  • It's an interesting experience near Tel Aviv. The Ayalon Institute really helped me realize the strength and tenacity of Jewish settlers. They fought for their freedom at a cost most people could never comprehend. I'm not very knowledgeable about military strategy, or Israeli history in general, but I got a lot out of the underground bullet factory. I would absolutely recommend visiting, especially with a good tour guide.
  • very interesting tour and very informative tour guide!! I’ve been here twice and enjoyed both times
