Create an itinerary including Castello Normanno Svevo
Admire the blend of architecture and view the art exhibits at Castello Normanno Svevo, a massive castle with two looming towers from the original Norman structure. Frederick II built over the rest of the Norman castle, and the bastions were added in the 16th century during Spanish rule. Although the building has been destroyed and rebuilt since its initial construction, it still retains its grandeur and old charm. The space today houses museum-style exhibits, including displays of black-and-white photography. Also see replicas of Puglia's famous monuments and plaster casts of treasures found in the most important sights of Barri Vecchia. English signs are hard to find, so consider doing research before you go. • Very nice fort/castle. Contained great display halls of historic items. Would have been nice to be able to visit more of the castle and go on the walls. The area's you are able to visit are very limited. Was good for a free thing to do, but if I had paid I'd be unhappy with the amount of castle on show.
  • The Bari castle, very very good! He is a caste with many sculpture and storic object Start at 600 a.c (don't sure). Impressively!
