Great visit a lovely quiet sacred place full of beauty. We truly loved the quality and restorations, the lower crypt was excellent and our feeling was great. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem well worth a visit! A bit hard to find: go down on the right-hand side stairs towards the crypt inside the cathedral, and look to the left. Surprisingly large site!

This is worth a visit but not easy to find. First enter the cathedral and then go down the stairs to the right of the altar towards the crypt. Before entering the crypt, there's a small door on the left with a metal gate. If you are lucky, there will be someone there to take your money and let you in. This door isn't always manned even when the Succorpo is technically open. But the ruins and reconstruction are fascinating and the signs are in both Italian and English.
