One of Europe's most culturally diverse cities, Stockholm extends over 14 islands, united by a series of tunnels and bridges.Museum-lovers will get to explore Vasa Museum and ABBA The Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Skansen and Stockholm Old Town. Venture out of the city with trips to Sandhamn (in Varmdo), Harkeberga kyrka (in Enkoping) and Sundbyholms Travbana (in Eskilstuna). There's much more to do: browse the exhibits of Royal Palace, explore the world behind art at Millesgarden Museum, browse the eclectic array of goods at Ostermalm Saluhall, and get engrossed in the history at Nordiska Museet.

If you are flying in from Turkey, the closest major aiports are Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Stockholm-Bromma Airport, Stockholm Västerås Airport and Stockholm Skavsta Airport. Expect a daytime high around 3°C in December, and nighttime lows around -1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
