Founded in 1857, Science Museum is one of the city’s major attractions, with nearly three million visitors each year. The museum holds an impressive collection of over 300,000 items, including the first jet engine, the oldest surviving steam locomotive, and the first prototype of the famous Clock of the Long Now, a mechanical clock designed to keep time for over 10,000 years. See hundreds of interactive exhibits, or visit the IMAX 3-D movie theater, which screens science and nature documentaries. • The museum is really big. You can spend hours inside and keep seeing new things. It is great for children and it is free of charge.

  • Coolest place to visit with kids during anytime of the year. Plus it's free, just need to book slot. Some of the seasonal attraction are ticketed and are worth. Love the way it has been panned out over multiple floors and have areas dedicated for each section. There are multiple interactive galleries which kids and adults will enjoy. Certainly will take your whole day if you go to each attraction. You can take your food and there is a decent area for having a picnic. Overall one of the best things to do with kids in London
  • We had such a lovely time here. The boys absolutely loved the space section! Paid for tickets for the Red Arrows simulator which was really fun. We should have bought tickets for the wonder lab. Interactive experiences galore but I wasn’t sure so didn’t pay the extra. Will definitely do this the next time we visit. Lots of toilets available and a nice cafe where we bought milkshakes. A little in the pricey side at 5 pounds but delicious and I guess fairly typical for London prices. A great day out
