Interact with tropical birds, see a tiger show, or visit the Everglades Habitat to further explore Florida's ecosystems at Jungle Island. Such famous guests as Winston Churchill and President Jimmy Carter have visited this zoo, which originally opened in 1936 as Parrot Jungle. In addition to animal shows and exhibitions, the park also provides visitors with opportunities for live animal encounters at its petting zoo. A few of the zoo's most popular attractions are its Parrot Bowl, which hosts the Winged Wonders bird show, and a 408 kg (400 lb) liger (combination lion and tiger). Jungle Island is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

This is a first class facility where animals are respected and cared for AND where WE are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to interact with them. Spotless enclosures, truly fresh food, fruit.... more

$10 per adult is a good value for what is offered. We had a layover, so took a taxi to/from the airport which can be pricey. Spent hours looking at the birds. It's great to see families enjoying the animals and playground. Kids were having so much fun. Great to see them playing and not on their phones.

I like my experience here. We had a VIP tour with flamingo, the tour include opportunity to feed the flamingo. It was really nice emotion. When they come to you and eating from your hands it's wonderful. A guide told us many interesting facts about this pretty birds. This trip worth money wich we paid. It's not cheap - 55 dollars per person. After feeding you can walk around the park. It's not big, but you can see beautiful parrots who says hello, some monkeys , lemurs, huge Tortugas and kangaroos.
